Innocent Akwayena, Managing Consultant:
Innocent is a resources, energy and mining expert. He holds an LL.M in Natural Resources Law (with specialization on Mineral Law, Policy and Economics) from the University of Dundee. He was the Principal Legal Counsel for the Minerals Commission and has been involved in key mining and energy sector legal and regulatory reform projects in Ghana since 1994. He has also participated in the drafting of mining legislation for two Commonwealth countries. He is a member of the IBA section on Energy and Natural Resources, with current membership of SERL Committees on Minerals and Oil and Gas Law.

Michael K. B. Xatse, Principal Legal Consultant:
Michael holds BA Law and MBA (Finance) Degrees from the University of Ghana Legon. Michael has extensive corporate law practice experience as a legal advocate and Corporate Solicitor with Tema Food Complex Corporation, Gliksten (West Africa) Limited, Ansa Asare & Co., Legal Practitioners, and Ghana Broadcasting Corporation. His areas of focus are Corporate Law, Financial Law, International trade and Investment Law, Mergers and Acquisitions Law, Forestry Law, Media Law and Commercial Litigation.
Emmanuel Sekor, Principal Legal Consultant:
Emmanuel is a legal, regulatory and policy expert with specialisation in natural resources and the environment. He has extensive experience in the Energy sector. He was a legal officer in the Ministry of Energy and a member of the Technical Group on West Africa Gas Pipeline Project. He has also worked with the Public Utility and Regulatory Commission, which has responsibility for electricity, water and aspects of natural gas regulation. He is a member of the Technical Committee of the Energy Commission and has been involved in the development of sector legislation. He has also consulted in various capacities for the Ministry of Energy, Energy Commission, oil and, electricity and mining companies.
Agbesi Dzakpasu, Legal Consultant:
Agbesi holds an LLB (Hons.) degree from the University of Ghana, Legon as well as an LLM Degree in Banking & Finance law from the London School of Economics & Political Science. He has practiced law locally since being called to the Bar in 2000 and has an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the Ghanaian legal system. His expertise in International Banking and Finance Law and related transactions, automatically qualify him as a key member of our Negotiations, Commercial litigation and Dispute Management team.
Enyonam Priscilla Dedey-Oke (Ms), Legal Consultant:
Enyonam is a resources and environment law and research expert. She has researched extensively with the Legal Resource Centre where she participated in field research and data gathering in varied fields of law: land administration, tax and natural resources. Upon joining REM Law she has been involved in providing legal advice on corporate transactions relating to the legal and regulatory framework of the mining industry in Ghana. She has a rich experience in corporate transactions and compliance work.
