Michael holds BA Law and MBA (Finance) Degrees from the University of Ghana Legon.    Michael has extensive corporate law practice experience as a legal advocate and Corporate Solicitor with Tema Food Complex Corporation, Gliksten (West Africa) Limited, Ansa Asare & Co., Legal Practitioners, and Ghana Broadcasting Corporation.  His areas of focus are Corporate Law, Financial Law, International trade and Investment Law, Mergers and Acquisitions Law, Forestry Law, Media Law and Commercial Litigation. 

Michael is head of our corporate law and commercial litigation team. His rare combination of trained financial skills, rich corporate law practice over the past twenty five years and exceptional advocacy skills make him an invaluable asset in digesting and handling complex commercial and financial transactions and their related disputes, including court suits. As part of his responsibilities as Deputy Managing Director and Company Secretary of Gliksten (West Africa Limited), Michael was involved in the successful restructuring and rehabilitation of the company. He also led the technical team of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation in renegotiating a €20million Rohde & Schwarz contract and was also responsible for the successful negotiation of the €20million Sony Package for the Corporation.

In 2011-2012, Michael was the legal and finance expert on the BOST restructuring project. He was responsible for advising on the financing and capital mobilization options for the project.

He graduated from the Ghana School of Law with a Professional Barrister’s Qualifying Certificate and was called to the Ghana Bar in 1984. He is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN).
